Nick and Sue Whitehead would like to welcome you to the Toll House in Exeter Road, Ivybridge, PL21 0DE.
We have now re-opened and have upgraded the bedrooms with new en-suite shower rooms.
The Toll House is a detached cottage dating from approximately 1850 and offers comfortable and flexible accommodation. Our double and twin rooms have en-suite shower rooms and the single room has a private bathroom with shower. All rooms have a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Free car parking is provided, right next to the house.
We are conveniently situated on the edge of Ivybridge, just a few minutes from the British Rail Park and Ride Station with bus stops close by, providing easy access to Plymouth and Torbay. Ivybridge town centre is just a comfortable 10 minute walk away and there you will find a useful choice of local shops and amenities, including several pubs and places to eat, a sports centre and also the beginning of the Two Moors Way. The River Erme runs through the town, making a picturesque scene as it flows under the ‘Ivy Bridge’.
If you are on holiday, we are an ideal base as we are only about half an hour from the beautiful beaches of the South Hams, 20 minutes from Plymouth with its Marine Aquarium and historic Naval Port or 40 minutes from Torbay, with Paignton Zoo, Steam Railway and many other attractions.
Room rates are:
Double or Twin en-suite rooms:
£60 for 1 night
£55 per night for 2 or more nights
Coming from Exeter on the A38, after passing exits to Totnes and Paignton, you will see a sign for Ivybridge British Rail Park and Ride. Take that exit, signposted to Modbury and Ugborough on the B3213, turn right at the top of the slip road and go across the bridge over the A38, turning left at the end towards Ivybridge. Continue for approximately 2 miles, through the small village of Bittaford and as you enter Ivybridge you will see the sign to the park and ride on your right. Do not turn right, but carry straight on and you will come upon a mini roundabout – go straight ahead and almost immediately there is a second mini roundabout. You will then see the Toll House sign approx 50 yards ahead on the left. You can turn in immediately after the sign into our car park.
Coming from Plymouth on the A38, take the Ivybridge turning and proceed through the town following the signs to Bittaford, turning right at The Bridge pub. Coming up the hill you will pass Ivybridge Community College on your left and the Toll House is just a little further on the right just before the mini roundabout.
